About Us
Our Story
Palmetto Oaks Ranch begins with two families united by a shared vision: bringing their families together to breed Highland Cattle. Both families have deep roots in Laurens County, South Carolina and have a heart and passion to better the Upstate through business, farming, and agriculture.
Together, we invite you to discover the essence of our family-run business and the splendor of our beloved Highland herd.
The Watkins Family
The Watkins Family, long-term residents of Laurens County, are passionate local business owners dedicated to using their ventures as a platform to live out their God-given ministries. Jonathan, a retired police officer and JoDee, a former cardiac nurse are devoted to serving their community with faith at the center of their mission.
Jonathan and JoDee are the proud parents of four children – Elijah, AnneDee, Chesney, and SaDee – and in 2024, they also welcomed their first grandbaby, Arlon!
The Robinson Family
The Robinson Family—LeeAnn, Casey, and their daughters Caroline and Emily—call their farm in the Upstate of South Carolina home. As owners of several local businesses, they are passionate about contributing to their community while also dedicating themselves to the improvement and preservation of the Highland cow breed at Palmetto Oaks Ranch. Their commitment to both family and their agricultural endeavors reflects their love for the land and their vision for the future of Highland cattle.
